Automated People Mover

Los Angeles, USA

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is being expanded in several major stages, and made fit in time for the Olympic Games in 2028. A key component of the modernization is the PPP project for construction and operation of an automated passenger transportation system. For the Automated People Mover, a total of six railway stations and a 3.6-kilometer-long, raised twin-track section of rail is being built. The consortium, which includes HOCHTIEF and ACS, will also be responsible for constructing a 7,000 square meter maintenance and storage hall.
